Off-site backup that complements Time Machine ®
Do you use Mac OS X Time Machine ®?

Are you concerned about not having an off-site backup (to protect against theft, fire, etc.)?

Are you looking for a simple to use, unobtrusive tool that complements Time Machine to backup your personal data off-site?

If so, Time Warp might be for you.

With Time Warp, your personal files within your latest Time Machine backup are securely encrypted and uploaded nightly to your private Amazon.com Simple Storage Service (S3) account. Compression and intelligent filtering keeps backup costs low.

Set it, and forget it
Incredibly easy to use, you will be backing up within a matter of minutes. Time Warp is as easy to configure as Time Machine itself. And once set into motion, Time Warp automatically backs up any changed files nightly.

Uses Amazon S3 for storage - pay only for what you use
Amazon S3 can store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web. It provides access to the same highly scalable, reliable, fast, inexpensive data storage infrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global network of web sites. Amazon S3 is extremely cost effective. You pay only for the storage you use, and there are no setup charges or minimum fees. The current costs are:
$0.15 per GB per month for storage
$0.10 per GB to backup data into S3
$0.17 per GB to restore data from S3

And Time Warp's compression and intelligent filtering keep costs low. For example, with compression backing up 20 GB of personal data would cost only about $1 to upload, and about $2 per month ongoing to store and upload files that have changed.

Your data is kept private with 256-bit AES encryption
Time Warp keeps your data protected with 256-bit AES encryption. And all of your data is encrypted, including file names and metadata.

Intelligent filtering
Time Warp automatically filters out files that do not need to be backed up such as cache files, temporary files, contents of your Trash, "stock" system files, etc. And in addition to leveraging filters you have already configured for Time Machine, you can exclude files, folders, files larger than a certain size, etc.

Flexible restore options
Restore some or all of your data to any Mac from anywhere at any time.
